Why develop Academic Partnerships?

What we do

Strategic Objectives

  • Support and advise the University on national and international developments in relation to Academic Partnerships
  • Report to central University Committees on our collaborative partnership portfolio
  • Respond to local and/or national employer and workforce needs through flexible and innovative off-site and work-based HE provision
  • Enhance the University’s reputation at an International level through the development of staff and student exchanges – please visit study abroad programmes
  • Provide a central point of reference for the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) with regard to Academic Partnerships.

Operational Objectives

  • Act as a central coordinating body for collaborative activities and provides a focal point for related internal/external enquiries
  • Guide and support academic staff in the operational management and quality assurance of Academic Partnerships
  • Ensure the students and staff on Academic Partnerships have a comparable experience to students and staff in main site provision
  • Facilitate effective operational links between partner organisations and the University’s core administrative systems, including admissions, registration, marketing, finance and contracts
  • Provide an effective interface between existing/potential partners and the University, offering a range of advice and guidance.
