1.4 Organisations we have responsibility for and work with

 

1.4.1     Chichester Enterprises Limited

The University has a separate, wholly-owned trading subsidiary, Chichester Enterprises Limited, for its business services and conference activities.  CEL is a private company limited by share capital and is established under a separate Memorandum and Articles of Association for the University’s trading activities. Its company number is 5162778; the registered address is Bishop Otter Campus, College Lane, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 6PE. CEL is governed by a Board of Directors; this is chaired by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and includes the Director of Estate Management and the Head of Finance. The University Secretary is the Company Secretary.

1.4.2     Collaborative Programmes

The University embraces opportunities to collaborate with other institutions both within the UK and overseas. These provide students with a chance to study for a higher education that may not be possible through more traditional routes. The University of Chichester works with the Further Education sector on Foundation and Degree programmes such as Chichester College and Central Sussex College in West Sussex and the Isle of Wight College. The University operates a distance learning programme with the Diocese of Chichester and ThinkSpace Education; a Foundation Degree and Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Commercial Music is delivered at Platform One, on the Isle of Wight.

Music programmes at Bachelor of Arts level are delivered at the Campus of Performing Arts South Africa. Further details of our collaborative work are available here
