Meals for Residents Staying in Catered Accommodation

Resident students staying in catered accommodation are provided with meals as part of their contract. You will be issued with a Meal Card on your arrival at the University of Chichester, for this you will require two passport photographs. From then on your meal card is proof of payment and no meals will be given without its presentation at the till point.

Chichester, Canteen

If you lose your meal card you must see the Catering Manager immediately to arrange a replacement card. Any lost or damaged cards will cost £5 to replace. Please keep in mind the importance of replacing your card as soon as possible as you will be charged for meals without one. When you cease to be a resident student the card must be returned. You MUST NOT take cutlery and crockery from the dining room. If you do it will be viewed as theft and you will be subject to a charge to facilitate recovery. Your meal card is valid and can only be used at your resident Campus, unless due to academic requirements, in which case a meal transfer request form must be completed 48 hours in advance.

Chichester Canteen

Residents staying in catered accommodation will be entitled to breakfast and evening meal from Monday to Friday and brunch at the weekends. Your meal entitlement for each meal is advertised on the reverse of your meal card. You may, if you wish, pay for additional items. Students living in self-catered accommodation may purchase meals as ‘cash’ customers’.

Feedback

There will be times during the year when you may wish to make comments/suggestions about your catering service. Questionnaires will be issued periodically and a Comments card will be available in the Dining Room where we welcome sensible feedback. Any feedback you have should also be discussed with your Student Hall Representative, who will then take these comments to the monthly Rep meetings. PLEASE note although we welcome these comments and suggestions they must be constructive and presented in a civil manner.
