Partnering with local government and public services to undertake research, develop staff and support regional regeneration.

Research topics can include: regional regeneration and enterprise, social enterprise, and the application of customer centricity to strategic management.

Previous project work includes:

  • Significant contribution to the Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership Economic Strategy
  • Underpinning the sustainability of port regeneration for the Shoreham Harbour Board and Brighton and Hove City Council
  • Gap Analysis on the off-shore wind renewable energy opportunities in Kent for Kent County Council
  • An investigation into the social and economic impact of Post Office Closure on West Sussex published by West Sussex County Council.
  • Overall University programme lead for an INTERREG IV project (Innovation and Environment regions of Europe Sharing Solutions) on innovation and clustering in the Marine sector as part of the Channel Arc Manche Integration Strategy programme. An additional contract has been added to this for the Transport strand of the programme.  Total value of research £285,000.
  • Supervision of KTP Associate assisting with the development of a business plan for a potential social enterprise, Paritas, to support organisations and individuals in the area of mental health in the workplace.
  • Programme lead and significant contribution to the development of a feasibility study into the potential for a watersports centre for Bognor Regis.
  • An audit of the economic impact of the Third Sector in West Sussex on behalf of WSCC published by the West Sussex Social Enterprise Network.
