Applied Event Management

Students very early in their degree are introduced to the principles of event planning, design and creation, providing a detailed understanding and appreciation of the range of event environments that can be designed, the inherent management challenges that event managers face in delivering a successful event, and the basic design tools that an event manager should have to deliver them.

In order to consolidate their learning students are offered plenty of opportunites to volunteer at local events and to join the committees of local organisations.  This gives the students the opportunity to network, and experience first hand event management.  These events can vary from local fairs to large conferences and events in London, working for charities, local government departments and events companies.

If you are an event organiser and would like your event to be advertised to our students please contact Business School Work Placements.
