Repairing the Impact of Adverse Childhood Experiences

Beacon House therapeautic Services in collaboration with University of Chichester, are bringing the acclaimed film 'Resilience' to West Sussex. A one-hour documentary that delves into the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and the birth of a new movement to treat and prevent Toxic Stress.

Tickets are £7 and all profits go to PASCO. 

We will present this ground breaking research showing the direct impact on whole communities. Facilitated by a diverse specialist panel, we will discuss what role we have as professionals in enabling repair and buillding resilience. The afternoon will conclude with a presentation on disarming fear and repairing adverse childhood experiences in education settings.

Children Facing Death or Bereavement

10am - 4pm

This day is designed for all those working with a child who is facing a life threatening illness or who has been bereaved. It will include some latest research in these areas as well as serving as a forum for people to network ,combine knowledge and expertise and learn from each other about the services  and support systems that are available.

Keynote speakers will talk about a variety of topics such as bereavement support for children, sudden and unexpected death in childhood, and community support for a family where a child is facing the end of their life.

There will be a choice of workshops ranging from children's spirituality, working with the police in cases of sudden or unexpected death, and the role of death and bereavement in children's literature.
