International Exchange

Our English and History Departments at the University have teamed up with Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia to run a student exchange programme.

English and Creative Writing students, as well as History students, can opt to spend one or two semesters of their second year at Thompson Rivers in Kamloops. The credits they gain from courses there will then be transferred back to Chichester. There are no extra fees to pay as you will still be registered as a student in the UK. Students from Canada will be studying here, and have been doing so since January 2006.

Thompson Rivers University is in central British Columbia and the English and History Departments offer a variety of courses which match our offering here at Chichester. The University is housed on a stunning site overlooking the Thompson River and the mountains beyond. Facilities for both learning and entertainment are excellent and all our students will be housed on campus. The University has a large and well developed international department and accepts exchange students from all over the world.

Credits for your degree will be transferred back to Chichester and there are no extra fees to pay as you’ll still be registered as a student in the UK.

The English and Creative Writing department also has European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students (ERASMUS+) programme exchange agreements with universities in Germany, France and Turkey.

This gives you the choice of studying in Europe too.

The University is also developing a number of exchanges with universities in the USA.
