The University of Chichester has moved into the top 20 of modern universities in the UK according to the latest league table published by the Sunday Times.

According to their 2011 Guide, the University of Chichester has jumped four places in the modern university list to 17th place.

The National Student Survey

The University of Chichester continues to be one of the top modern universities in the country for student satisfaction. The National Student Survey has been running annually since 2005 and surveys students in their final year of any course leading to an undergraduate qualification. Students were surveyed by Ipsos-MORI, an independent organisation.

The Times Good University Guide has ranked the University of Chichester as joint 9th in the UK for overall student satisfaction – making the top 10 for the second consecutive year. The Guide is identified by a government-funded review as the most influential of its type and is seen as an essential and comprehensive tool for students and parents at home and abroad.

The Guardian

The Guardian University Guide concentrates on excellence in teaching and draws its results from the responses of final year students from 118 institutions as well considering a number of other factors. The Guardian placed Chichester joint 9th in the UK for satisfaction with teaching, as well as joint 12th for overall student satisfaction.

The Independent’s Complete University Guide ranked the University of Chichester as the best publicly funded modern university in the UK for ‘student satisfaction’. It is ranked in the top 10 out of 115 higher educational establishments in the same category. The Guide also reveals that the University of Chichester has one of the best completion rates.

The University of Chichester is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the United Kingdom, having been established in 1839, and yet it became one of the country’s newest universities in 2005.

We offer more than 200 degree combinations. We are the only university in West Sussex, with one campus in the Cathedral city of Chichester and another in the seaside town of Bognor Regis.
