Academic Staff

At the University we actively encourage staff to undertake research and scholarship in order to facilitate high quality teaching of our courses.

• Over 80% of University staff hold higher degrees and have published in their field;
• Over a third hold doctorates.
• Approximately 50 staff are qualified to supervise students who wish to pursue MPhil or PhD awards by research.

All research degrees are awarded through an accreditation agreement with the University of Southampton.
