Alison Woodward

Alison won a scholarship to study music at the University of Chichester and gained a 1st Class Hons Degree as well as the Wiley Prize for Academic Excellence. She was also awarded a Distinction at Masters level in music performance. Alison currently freelances as a soloist and session musician and performs in a variety of orchestral and chamber ensembles. She has recorded for several films, one of which won the Caligari Prize in the Berlin Film Festival. Alison has also had a selection of published bassoon repertoire dedicated to her.

Alison also runs her own private teaching practice. She originally moved from London where she worked with the London Borough of Redbridge Music Service as a teacher and member of the Recital Quintet.
