Virtual Open Day

In addition to leaving the University with a good degree, students expect to be equipped to enter employment or to be appropriately prepared to continue their studies.  Our Careers and Employability Service supports students at all stages of their course and after Graduation with a range of information, advice and guidance. They work closely with Academic Departments to provide careers consultancy specific to each course and year group, and work alongside lecturers and tutors to develop bespoke workshops and lecture sessions.

Successful leavers are asked to complete the HESA Destination of Leavers from Higher Education (DLHE) Survey six months after completing their course.  The national measure for employment (shown in the table below) looks at number of UK domiciled leavers who are working or studying or both.

The DLHE also questions leavers with regards to how well their course prepared them for employment and further study.  The positive results shown in the table below illustrate the emphasis we place on employability and learning.
