Course content
One of the central elements of the University of Chichester’s vision is student experience: we pride ourselves in providing an educational experience designed for and around the student. Consistent with this philosophy, the BA (Hons) Business English (International Route) is designed to provide an excellent learning experience customised to facilitate learning and personal development for international students wishing to continue their studies at final year honours level in the UK in parallel with further development of their academic English skills.
The programme enables students to adjust to studying in the UK and gain a full business related honours degree, with the skills and knowledge required for further postgraduate study.
On successful completion, students will be awarded a BA (Hons) in Business English (International Route) degree and will be able to apply to UK universities for a business postgraduate degree.
Students achieving a 2nd class honours will be guaranteed entry to the University of Chichester MSc International Business programmes, with bursaries available for students achieving a 2:1 or above.
This degree integrates English language development and study skills and includes a project module to prepare for master’s level study.

The BA (Hons) Business English (International Route) from the Business School at the University of Chichester capitalises on more than 10 years of specialist business and management education, and has the following features:

Where this can take you
The programme focuses on developing academic and communication skills that are required to perform successfully at the postgraduate level. Students will develop their business knowledge, cultural awareness, language ability, and ability to conduct independent research projects.
The BA (Hons) Business English can be used to apply to business postgraduate degrees in any UK universities but also, under certain academic conditions, will provide students with a guaranteed admission to one of our following postgraduate degree programmes: MSc in International Business, MSc International Business and Finance, MSc International Business and Marketing. Students with a lower second class degree (2:2) earned in the BA (Hons) Business English are guaranteed admission to one of our postgraduate programmes. Students with at least an upper second class degree (2:1) earned in the BA (Hons) Business English are guaranteed admission to one of our postgraduate programme and will qualify for a bursary.

The Business English project is designed to prepare students for the demands of a postgraduate dissertation. It includes a taught introduction to business research with independent research work.
