My year aboard with huskies!

My year away at Birk Husky has been a life changing experience, there is no way I would have ever dreamed to be able to do something like this, to be able to go out and drive a sled with huskies attached to it in the Arctic Circle is not something you do everyday!

My experience here has been something that has made me into a developed person, more organised, more sensitive and just generally more sensible! I have developed my knowledge, become fitter, become a better person, more understanding and it has made me see the world differently. This experience has shown me all the new opportunities life has to offer, to be know where I want to go and what I want to do when I finish university. At no point will I ever regret my time here and what I have done.

I woke up every day knowing I was going to work with the dogs, knowing I was going out on the sleds, knowing that I was going to be sledding in the Arctic Circle with guests for a true adventure.

Don’t get me wrong, there are days that you get down and struggle but when you think about the opportunities that you’re currently on, there is no way you can ever question what you are doing. This course has opened up so many opportunities and it is so great that I have been able to experience it.
