About the Business School

The University of Chichester Business School offers you a wide range of degree programmes in business and management related subject areas.  The school also has a key external business facing role through the provision of services to organisations in the region.

In terms of learning and teaching our approach is distinctive when compared to that adopted by many universities. We take pride in the supportive learning environment that we provide, and to us students are not just a ‘face in the crowd’. One way in which this is reflected is through avoiding mass lectures and instead focusing on relatively small group learning. We believe that this approach enables a more effective learning environment.

The Business School builds upon the strong reputation that we have earned for delivering high-quality courses in a supportive and friendly environment. The Business School's programmes are based at the Bognor Regis Campus, which offers state of the art provision in a comfortable and attractive location.

We believe a ‘hands-on’, interactive and participative workshop approach to learning with modest group sizes is the most effective way to learn and develop the types of skills that employers look for in graduates. Each module you undertake is normally supported by a weekly workshop of approximately 2.5 to 3 hours that will be facilitated by a tutor. Group sizes will typically be about 20 to 25 students.

At the end of the workshop, students are normally tasked to undertake inter-session work that then feeds into the next workshop. Our approach encourages students to be proactive, and offers an environment that is well suited to enabling students to share their thinking and explore different ideas.
