Members of staff supervise PhDs in a variety of subjects.  Details of staff research interests can be found below and also on their staff profile pages.

If you wish to undertake PhD research the first step is to contact the member of staff who can supervise in your chosen field.  They will then guide you through the university application process.

  • Dr Tommy Lynch is interested in supervising students in the areas of political theology, contemporary continental philosophy of religion, materialism and social constructivism. More details can be found on Tommy's staff profile.
  • Dr Stephen Roberts supervises students working in the areas of interreligious studies, (popular) music and theology, liturgical and ritual studies, and theology in the public sphere.  More details can be found on Stephen's staff profile
