Please contact the Admissions Office to find out if your qualification is suitable. If you do not have a UK qualification or an International Baccalaureate you can use UK NARIC to find out how the qualifications that you already have compare to UK qualifications.

International English Studies

For some subject areas, you can start your undergraduate degree programme with IELTS 5.5 or equivalent (Cambridge English Scale score of 162 to 168) by choosing to study a joint degree (50% / 50%) with International English Studies. All four language proficiency components (Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing) must be at least at the level of IELTS 5.5. Over your first year your English will improve so, if you wish, you can change to a single honours or major/minor combination degree in your second year.
