University of Chichester climbs the Guardian University Guide 2019

THE University of Chichester is celebrating its latest success in the national league tables after climbing to the top-half of the Guardian University Guide 2019.

Chichester was ranked in 54th position in the UK, up 18 places on last year, while a number of its subjects were named in the top 25 per cent. The results follow on from outstanding rankings in the Times Higher Education Student Experience survey, published earlier this year, which placed the University in the top ten nationally.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Longmore welcomed the significant rise of 18 places in the Guardian University Guide. She added: “This high ranking is recognition of the University’s remarkable success in building the confidence, resilience, and aspirations of every student.”

The Guide ranks higher education institutions using various sources such how satisfied students are with their courses, based on the results of the annual National Student Survey. Other aspects include spending per student, the student and staff ratio, and a value-added score that compares students’ entry qualifications with their final degree results.
