This year's conference:

SEND & INCLUSION IN A CULTURAL CONTEXT: A SERIES OF CONVERSATIONS

Creating a space to talk about equity and inclusion for pupils with SEND and their identities: LGBT+, gender, religion, ethnicity, Gypsy, Roma and traveller, poverty.  An essential conference for school/college leaders, SENCOs and professionals working in education, health and social care who want to make a difference for those they work with.

The Centre of Special Education & Disability Studies at the University of Chichester will be hosting this FREE online event on Thursday 20th May 9.30am – 1.15pm

Keynote Speaker: Professor Jonathan Glazzard, Professor of Teacher Education, Head of Children, Education and Communities Edge Hill University

Jonathan is a teacher educator. He teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate primary ITE courses and supervises dissertations at doctoral level. His teaching focuses on special educational needs and disability as well as broader aspects of inclusion. Jonathan is particularly interested in aspects of social justice, including mental health, LGBTQ+ inclusion and race equality in schools

In addition to our keynote, participants can sign up for our conversation workshops to engage in discussions of areas of equity and inclusion for learners with SEND. A unique space to talk to colleagues about real issues in the context of your settings.
