About
Georgia Bowers is a freelance Artist Facilitator, Theatre Maker and Producer. Her practice seeks to create theatre in non-traditional spaces with individuals who perhaps have had little to no prior engagement with the cultural sector. Georgia’s work firmly believes that theatre is for everyone and has the intangible power to bring people together as we collectively share and explore stories, common concerns, ideas and desires. Through a process of co-collaboration and co-creation her practice seeks to shine a light on these stories and offer a platform for them to be heard.
Georgia’s practice currently focuses on the following areas: arts and health (55+), older adults living with dementia’s, mental health, diversity and inclusion (18 years and under), young carers and with inner city communities.
Georgia is a graduate of the University of Chichester (BA Hons, Performing Arts and Music: First Class) and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama (MA Applied Theatre: Drama in the Community and Drama Education). Her professional engagements to date have included: Royal Opera House, Chichester Festival Theatre, Spare Tyre, Young Carers: BUCKS, London Bubble, Hampstead Theatre, Almeida Theatre and Watford Palace Theatre.
