Rachel Edgar started dancing and singing from the age of four. She took part in competitions all around the UK whilst performing in local shows. She landed the title role in the musical Annie at age 11, at Portsmouth Guildhall. During her teenage years, she performed in four Christmas pantomimes in Fareham. She then went on to train at Arts Educational Schools, London, graduating with a BA Hons in Musical Theatre and Performing Arts. Following this, she went on to dance on Top of the Tops for the BBC, as well as performing as a featured dancer at an Elton John concert at Blenheim Palace. Rachel’s other high profile public facing roles include taking on the role of the head hostess in Planet Hollywood, and managing bars across London.

Rachel returned to her home town of Portsmouth after eight years in London, teaching dance at several local dance schools.

Presently, she is studying to gain full fellowship of the Higher Education Academy through the University’s PGCert in Higher Education programme, whilst teaching on and co-ordinating the musical theatre skills module (joint route).
