Rianne Costello

PhD Researcher - Occupational Performance Research Group

Rianne is currently a PhD Researcher at the University of Chichester focusing on nutritional strategies to help enhance the recovery of muscle and connective tissue to mitigate musculoskeletal injury risk in military and athletic populations during physical training.

She is a registered Sport Nutritionist with the Sport & Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr) and a member of the British Association for Sport & Exercise Sciences (BASES). Rianne also sits on the Editorial Advisory Board for the BASES quarterly magazine, “The Sport & Exercise Scientist”, as a Nutrition Representative and helps ensure that the latest sports nutrition research is featured by contacting leading academics globally.

Rianne also provides support to athletes through her nutrition consultancy work, Invictus Performance Nutrition and the SPRU clinic. In her spare time, Rianne loves horse riding, taking her road bike out and keeping in shape by working out in the gym.
