Marzenna Hiles

Senior Lecturer

Marzenna has worked extensively as a script supervisor for film and television productions where her many credits include Stephen Poliakoff’s ‘The Tribe’, Peter Kosminsky’s ‘No Child of Mine’, ‘I Want Candy’ directed by Stephen Surjik and ‘Exam’ produced by Gareth Unwin (The King's Speech).

She has set up and taught Skillset's regular short course in Film Script Supervision at the NFTS and is a qualified assessor on Skillset's Level 4 Diploma in Script Supervision. 

She is a doctoral researcher at Bournemouth University; her PhD explores film production students' experiences within specialist cohorts and utilises Q Methodology.  She holds an MA in Creative and Media Education, a PG cert L&T in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Apart from her own specialism in film continuity, Marzenna also lectures on many aspects of film production being interested in how professional practices can inform film making within Higher Education.  She particularly enjoys working with students and is passionate about encouraging and developing the next generation of film makers.
