English Language Requirements

The University of Chichester needs to ensure that you, our International students, (for whom English Language is not your first language), have a good standard of English Language to enable you to complete your academic studies to the best of your ability.

The below information should help you to understand whether you require an English Language qualification and what qualifications we will accept at the University of Chichester as proof of your level of English.

1. Students who are nationals of, or who have taken a degree level qualification in, a majority English-speaking country (listed below) or Canada.

2. Students that have studied for at least one year in the UK at degree level or higher (and completed successfully within the last five years).

English Language tests listed below will be accepted as proof of English language proficiency if they have been awarded in the two years before the date of your application to the University of Chichester.

If your test is older than 2 years, we will not be able to use it as evidence of English Language.
