GREAT Scholarship 2024

The University of Chichester is proud to announce that, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, it is offering GREAT Scholarships, each worth £10,000.

These will be offered across all our subject areas to 3 master’s students from China, India and Thailand who will begin their studies at the University of Chichester in autumn 2024.

The University of Chichester Global Merit Scholarship

The University of Chichester is delighted to announce that it is offering The University of Chichester Global Merit Scholarship for 2024 entry. Applications are now open.

The deadline for all applications is 28th June 2024.

Who can apply?

This scholarship is open to nationals of the following countries who are currently resident in these countries at the time of application:

  • China/Hong Kong
  • Colombia
  • India
  • Japan
  • Kenya
  • Malaysia
  • Nepal
  • Nigeria
  • Singapore
  • South Africa
  • Thailand
  • USA
  • Vietnam
  • EU/EEA

The scholarship will be merit-based and by application. It will be open to students who:

  • Hold an offer at the University of Chichester (Unconditional or Conditional based only on meeting English language requirements)
  • Have exceeded standard entry requirements
  • Hold Overseas fee-paying status (i.e. who are not eligible for Home fees)
  • Are self-funded (i.e. not sponsored or in receipt of another scholarship)
  • Successfully submit an application for the scholarship (see "How to apply" below)

Successful applicants agree, by accepting the award, to assist the University of Chichester in promotional activity, including, but not limited to, participating in webinars, contributing student profiles and testimonials, engaging in social media activity, and writing/recording blogs and vlogs.

Successful applicants will be notified that they have been awarded the scholarship by e-mail. Please be sure to check your junk/spam folders. We regret that unsuccessful applicants will not be notified.

Undergraduates The scholarship will be offered as a fee reduction of £1,500 per year for up to 3 years.
Postgraduates (Master's and PGCE) The scholarship will be offered as a single fee reduction of £2,500.

How to apply

Each application will be considered on its merit, based on qualifications obtained and the submission of an application to globalmerit@chi.ac.uk (600-700 words), covering all of the following areas:

  • Why you are applying for the course you have chosen.
  • Why you have applied at the University of Chichester.
  • Why you are interested in studying overseas, rather than at home.
  • Your strengths as a student: the qualities you will bring to the University of Chichester.
  • Why you feel you should receive the award.

Please put "University of Chichester: Global Merit Scholarship - Application" in the subject line of your email and include your name and University of Chichester applicant I.D.

Yesai and Maria Mazmanian Foundation/University Of Chichester Scholarship

The Yesai and Maria Mazmanian Foundation, in partnership with the University of Chichester, is offering a scholarship for 2 Armenian citizens, resident in Armenia at the time of submitting their applications to the University of Chichester, who will be commencing their studies at the University in September 2024 and September 2025. The scholarship will apply to the following courses:

Engineering

Computing

Creative Industries

The scholarship will take the form of a fee reduction of £6,000 per year for up to 3 years.
