The University of Chichester is celebrating another excellent league table result after being ranked 31st in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2027, placing it ahead of Portsmouth, Surrey, Sussex, Southampton Solent, Winchester and Brighton.
The Guardian University Guide 2027 assessed 123 universities across a range of measures, including teaching and feedback, student satisfaction and graduate employment outcomes. The University received an impressive 90.6% overall satisfaction rating for teaching, while several subjects were ranked among the best in the country.
The latest results adds to a series of successes for the University during 2026. Earlier this year, the University was ranked among the top 25 universities in the UK in the National Student Survey (NSS) 2026 and was shortlisted for two Times Higher Education Awards. Students also voted Chichester the best university in the South East at the Whatuni Student Choice Awards 2026, while the institution was awarded a four-star rating in the global QS Stars rating system.

Individual subjects ranked highly include:
- 2nd in the UK for physiotherapy
- 4th in the UK for animation and games design
- 6th in the UK for film production and photography
