Dr Miles Leeson talks “Iris Murdoch amongst the Artists“
Library Training Room (S3), Bishop Otter Campus
Free and open to all.
Artwork by 20th-century British artists – including work by Iris Murdoch displayed in public for the first time – will be part of a major new exhibition at the University of Chichester.
As quoted by Dr Miles Leeson, Director of the Iris Murdoch Research Centre:
“By bringing together her own artworks, personal correspondence and works by artists connected to or inspired by her, the exhibition offers fresh insight into the relationship between art, philosophy and literature that shaped her thinking and continues to inspire new generations of artists and scholars.”
In addition to this exhibition, Dr Miles Leeson is hosting some talks around the exhibition for visitors in the Library Training Room (S3).
Due to limited space, to book a place, please email j.carter@chi.ac.uk. The room takes a maximum of 25 attendees per session.
Miles is also hosting some student sessions for anyone interested on the 3rd November (10-11am) and 24th November (2.30-3.30pm).
