Ceremony dates and times

Invitations to attend graduation ceremonies will be sent to students via email to their University accounts.

If you think you will be eligible to graduate this year for an undergraduate award and haven't received an invitation, please email graduation@chi.ac.uk with your name and student number before 27 March 2020.

If you think you will be eligible to graduate this year for a postgraduate award and haven't received an invitation, please email graduation@chi.ac.uk with your name and student number before 3 July 2020.

 

Undergraduate ceremony dates, times and venue

The 2020 undergraduate graduation ceremonies will take place at Chichester Cathedral on 24 - 27 August 2020.

The date and time of your ceremony are given on your ChiView Graduation page. This will appear after the invitations have been sent.

Eligible graduands cannot choose which ceremony to attend other than the one assigned to their specific award.

If you are not attending

If you are receiving an undergraduate award in August 2020 and are unable to attend you may defer your attendance until 2021. Please do this by completing your graduation booking form.

If you wish to graduate in absentia (receive your award but not attend your ceremony). Please do this by completing your graduation booking form.

A section on the form relates to the use of your personal information by the University, so it is important for you to complete this.

Your certificate will be posted to you after the graduation ceremonies have taken place.

If you need your certificate in advance please contact the Examinations Team at examinations@chi.ac.uk.

Coronavirus Update

Please also note that the University is keeping the arrangements for its August 2020 graduation ceremonies under careful review in light of the ongoing global situation regarding the coronavirus (Covid-19). We have no plans to cancel this event at this stage and are currently advising students who have received an invitation to attend Graduation to register their attendance as well as their guest(s)’s attendance to ensure they have a place.

You can cancel or defer your attendance at any time up until 8am (UK time) on 10 August 2020 by emailing graduation@chi.ac.uk. We will give a full refund for any guest tickets purchased.

If you are booking travel in order to attend Graduation, we strongly suggest that you take out insurance in case you need to cancel your travel bookings at a later date.
