Danish author presents collection for European Literature Festival
An international short story writer read from her latest collection at the University of Chichester to mark the start of the European Literature Festival.
Danish author Dorthe Nors spoke on Monday 9 May. about Karate Chop, her novel that follows the murky dealings of 15 people through different stories,
The talk, which was free for students, staff, and the public, is part of the European Literature Festival held across the UK to highlight notable foreign writers.
Event organiser Dr Hugh Dunkerley, Programme Coordinator for Creative Writing, said: “I am delighted to welcome one of Denmark’s leading novelists to Chichester to present Karate Chop, which is her first collection of short stories to be translated into English.
“Dorthe also spoke about the short story form with Professor Alison MacLeod of the University’s Department of English and Creative Writing.”
The talk started at 5:30pm and in Room LO6 at the University’s Bishop Otter campus, College Lane, Chichester, PO19 6PE.
