Dancing in Paris as Dr Victoria Hunter discusses research with leading choreography experts

Dr Victoria Hunter has been invited to Paris this week to speak about her work into site dance and choreography.

A workshop in the French capital, which includes other leading dance researchers, marks the start of a new group about site dance.

Dr Hunter, a Reader in Site Dance and Choreography, teaches in Chichester’s department of Dance which has an established reputation as one of the most successful in UK universities.

She will share her approaches to site dance practice and scholarship with Julie Perrin, lead site dance researcher at Paris 8 University, Joanne Clavel a specialist in site dance and ecology from Paris Diderot University and Laurent Pichaud a site dance artist based in Paris.

Further work sessions are planned for November this year where the group will be joined by experts from Canada and New Zealand to discuss dance research in Europe.
