How to optimise human health and performance – free talk at the University of Chichester

A free lecture on how research and innovation can optimise human health and performance takes place at the University of Chichester next month.
Sam Blacker, Professor of Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, will explore the topic ‘Optimising Human Health and Performance’ during the University’s Research and Innovation Week, which runs from 7-11 September.
The talk will explore Sam’s 25 years’ experience delivering research and consultancy to enhance performance, improve health and reduce injury in physically demanding occupations, such as the military. The lecture is open to the general public and is aimed at a non-specialist audience, so anyone with an interest in optimising health and performance is encouraged to attend.
Sam is a Professor of Exercise Physiology and Nutrition and co-leads the Occupational Performance Research Group at the University of Chichester.
He has been the principal investigator for numerous research projects based in the United Kingdom and overseas, including for organisations such as the Ministry of Defence, Department of Health, UK Fire and Rescue Service, UK Police Force, Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), Defence Sciences and Technology Laboratory (Dstl). He regularly presents at international conferences and publishes peer-reviewed journal articles.
The event takes place at the Bishop Otter Campus in Chichester on Tuesday, 8 September from 6pm to 7:30pm. You can reserve your spot at: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/professor-sam-blacker-optimising-human-health-and-performance-tickets-1993927000333
