Korean teachers study at University

A GROUP of Korean teachers and educational materials writers are currently studying on an in-service professional development programme on the University’s Bognor Regis campus.

The 20 delegates from Seoul are on a scheme organised by the International Short Programme Unit at the Chichester Institute of Education.

Choi Soojin, one of the members of the group, said: “The programme is well planned and scheduled. The tutors’ personal real experience of writing and developing materials is a valuable lesson which we can’t learn from anywhere but in Chichester!”

Stephen Corcoran, the Director of the International Short Programme Unit, said: “As a globally-focussed institution, we are delighted to include this particular commission from Korea within our portfolio of professional development training programmes.

“We are hoping this will lead to a closer relationship with the city of Seoul and to further cohorts coming to study at the university.”
