New Apprenticeship schemes available at the University

The University of Chichester is introducing two new apprenticeship schemes for September, combining education with business experience.

The University has opened applications for two new apprenticeships. Students will dive straight into the working world whilst studying to gain a degree granted by the University of Chichester.

Dave Cooper, Head of the Business School said: “We are really pleased to be launching new, exciting apprenticeships. Business leaders tell us that students graduating from these programmes are two years ahead of their compatriots, graduating from full time courses.”

Aimed to develop the apprentice’s professional competence and increase confidence in the subject area they also gain experience of working in their specific field.

The two new apprenticeships available are the Digital and Technology Solutions Professional (Business Analyst) apprenticeship and the Postgraduate Engineering Business Manager apprenticeship.

On successful completion, the Business Analyst will be awarded a BSC (Hons) Digital & Technology Solutions (business analyst) degree from the University of Chichester. The engineering business manager will receive a Postgraduate diploma in Engineering Management.

This programme can be used to bring new talent into the business or to upskill existing staff into new and exciting opportunities. The apprentice benefits from a genuine and meaningful job role combined with undertaking a respected qualification.

After the success of other degree apprenticeships, the University hopes local businesses will see this as an opportunity to bring new talent into their business.

Dave Cooper said: “Working with the University and degree apprenticeships is a fantastic way for businesses to recruit and develop skilled resources that from experience, add value to the companies they work with, within a few months of employment. It also is an excellent way of providing opportunities for young people who want to stay in the area.”

If you would like to discuss how the University can support you to get involved with this programme, including a full package of recruitment support, please contact the apprenticeships team at apprenticeships@chi.ac.uk or by calling 01243 816000.
