Postgraduates celebrate their degrees with celebrated honoraries

Hundreds of students from the University of Chichester doffed their caps at graduation.
The cohort were joined at the ceremonies – hosted at Chichester Cathedral – with honoraries including historian Alan Green, Marika Sherwood, and Blondie drummer Clem Burke.
Prominent dignitaries from sport to science also showed their support and shared their successes with the postgraduates , as well as collecting their own certificates.
Damian Le Bas, a renowned writer based in Sussex, and Helen Pattinson, who founded the chocolate chain Montezuma’s, were both in attendance.
Representing sport and science respectively was footballer Marieanne Spacey-Cale and Professor Martyn Barrett.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Jane Longmore said the University wishes the new graduates the best of luck in their future careers. She added: “The honorary graduates at these celebrations will provide them with the ambition and optimism to lead a successful and fulfilling future.”
