University graduate named in 30 under thirty for early-career achievements

A former student from the University of Chichester has been named among a select group of 30 rising stars for her “outstanding achievements” in the events industry.

Hannah Jarvis was named recipient of the CN 30 under Thirty Class of 2021. The Chichester alumna, who graduated in 2019 with degree in event management, received the award for her work in sustainability and for prompting inclusivity and diversity in her industry.

On receiving this industry recognition, Hannah said: “I am grateful to the events industry community who surround me with inspiration and momentum to drive forward the industry and make a positive impact in whatever way I can. It is a huge honour to even be nominated for the CN 30 under Thirty, let alone joining the class of 2021.

“I am so excited to embark on the next 12 months with my classmates, and to explore the ways I can continue to develop myself and contribute to driving forward the events industry to a more sustainable and inclusive future.”

The CN 30 under Thirty initiative recognises exceptional young talent by showcasing their achievements and rewarding their passion, creativity and brilliance that makes them the leaders of tomorrow within the conference and meetings industry.

Hannah, who now works as a conference producer at event and communications agency MCI based in Portsmouth, said she is passionate about sustainability and championing new ways in which her industry can be at the forefront of this.

She actively uses her social platforms to increase awareness around inclusivity and diversity and is currently developing a framework for MCI Group’s global offices to implement with clients.

According to Hannah’s peers: “She is a natural leader in how she takes ownership of her projects, collaborates with different teams and how she builds trust with clients”. Her manager added: “This commitment to creating positive change will only amplify and we see Hannah being instrumental in leading sustainable practices in our organisation as well as the wider industry.”

She will now also be leading as Chair to the ‘inclusivity and diversity’ committee at MCI.
