University of Chichester announces new Provost

The University is delighted to confirm the appointment of Dr Mark Mason as its new Provost. Mark has worked at the University for over 25 years in a variety of roles, including as Senior Lecturer, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) and Interim Provost.
Mark said: “I am very pleased to be taking on the role of Provost. Chichester is a wonderful educational community and I look forward to continuing to support our students and staff in their academic endeavours.”
Vice-Chancellor for the University, Professor Symeon Dagkas, said: “Having served the University for over 25 years already, Mark brings a deep understanding of our culture, our communities, and our mission. He has made an outstanding contribution to the academic life of the institution over many years and has been a key figure in shaping the University’s academic direction and reputation. Mark has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to a student-centred ethos, academic quality, and an inclusive and supportive learning environment.”
