About
I first came to the University of Chichester to study a degree in Criminology and Forensic Psychology and quickly fell in love with the university and the sense of community here. One of the things I have always valued most about Chichester is the relationships you are able to build with your lecturers. You are not simply another student; there is a real sense that the lecturers know you, are invested in your development and genuinely want to see you succeed.
After completing my undergraduate degree, I decided to stay at Chichester to complete my master’s in criminology. It was during this time that my passion for research developed further, and I began to think seriously about continuing into doctoral research.
Having completed both my undergraduate and master’s degrees here, it made sense to continue my academic journey at Chichester with my PhD. I already knew I would be working within a supportive academic environment, with people who had encouraged me throughout my studies. For me, Chichester has become much more than the university where I study, it is where I have developed academically, built my confidence and discovered the direction I want my research and career to take.

Title: Sexual scripts in the digital age: Exploring the influence of sex education, pornography, and sexualised media on sexual violence within online dating platforms.

Publications
I am currently in the process of preparing research from my master’s dissertation for publication in an academic journal. The dissertation explored sexual violence within online dating, an area of research that I have continued to develop through my PhD.
Alongside my research, I have attended several academic and professional conferences and have had the opportunity to present my work to wider audiences. I have previously been a keynote speaker at an educational conference, which provided a valuable opportunity to share my research interests and engage with professionals outside of academia.
I have also been invited to speak at a conference in Liverpool in November, where I will be discussing my PhD research. I am particularly looking forward to this opportunity as it will allow me to share the development of my research, engage with others working in related areas and contribute to wider discussions around sexual violence, sexual scripts and prevention.
