How to Apply

Undergraduate applications

You can apply for up to five different degree courses at up to five different institutions through UCAS (the national Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Your application is sent to all five universities at the same time.

Each course has a UCAS code that you will find on our course pages or in our prospectus. You will need to know the UCAS code for the course you want to apply for when you make your application. The UCAS code for the University of Chichester is (CHICH) C58.

Postgraduate applications

If you are applying for a taught postgraduate course, you should apply directly to the University of Chichester. You can find the application link(s) on the relevant course page.

English language requirements

International applicants will normally need IELTS 6.5 (with no element less than 5.5) as proof of English language proficiency for most postgraduate programmes*. The University of Chichester also accepts other English language tests as proof of English language proficiency. You can find details on our English Language Requirements page.

*MA Social Work and PGCE programmes require IELTS 7.0.

Pre-Masters

International applicants who have not quite met the academic and/or English language requirements for direct entry on to a University of Chichester Masters programme may be eligible for our Pre-Masters programme, which offers progression on to MSc International Business, MSc International Business and Finance, MSc Digital Marketing, MSc Data Science and Analytics, MSc Computer Science.

Pre-sessional applications

If you are an International applicant and you have not met the English language requirements for your chosen course of study at the University of Chichester at undergraduate (e.g. Bachelors) or postgraduate (e.g. Masters) level, you can apply for a 5- or 10-week Pre-Sessional course on-campus or online.

Research Applications

International applicants need IELTS 7.0 (with no element less than 6.5)

Applicants for research degrees (MPhil or PhD) should discuss their research interests initially with a potential academic supervisor who may be approached directly, through the Research Office or the Director of Research.
