About

Dr. Renata Lima is a biologist with a Master’s in Neurophysiology from the University of São Paulo (2007-2011) and a DPhil in Experimental Psychology from Oxford (2013-2018). Her research, focused on behaviour through the lenses of evolutionary theory, spans fieldwork in the Amazon forest and lab studies on human imitation, cognitive readiness, social cognition, and mental health. To answer her questions she uses psychometric methods, fMRI, fNIRS, physiological measures, and eye-tracking. Dr. Lima is also dedicated to the epistemology of science, advocating for the slow and open science movement, transparency, and reproducibility in research.
