Hot on the heels of the news that Chichester is ranked the top university on the South Coast for student satisfaction (National Student Survey), we asked two of our students why they chose Chichester.
Tyler Kirkham, is studying BA (Hons) Acting and said: “The staff were really what drew me to Chichester – when I came to my Audition Day the atmosphere was really nurturing compared to some drama schools I visited. I could tell this was the place for me.
“It’s been unreal – probably the best year of my life! It’s great to be with people with similar interests, working towards my future. I’m always happy to be here.”
Alex Woodley is studying BSc Adventure and Outdoor Education, and said: “I didn’t come to an Open Day but I visited another time and met one of my lecturers who took me on a tour of the campus.
“The chance to do a sandwich placement really drew me in, as well as all the opportunities to travel and experience new things. In my second year I’ll be joining a course trip to Lanzarote.
“It’s been really good, everyone is friendly and the lecturers are great. With the small class sizes, people really know who you are. I’ve had some great opportunities with my course already, we’ve gone sea kayaking and climbing this year.
“I love student life. I live in halls and am really close to my flatmates. I tried rugby this year but am thinking of switching to swimming in my second year.
“Everybody I’ve meet here is really friendly, you will find your people here.”
