About
Served in the Armed Forces for 23 years as a former member of the Royal Engineers and later in the Royal Army Physical Training Corps. On leaving the military became the Head of Medical and Sports Science at Aldershot Town Football Club for 10 years while the club were playing in the English Football League and National League. Joined the University in August 2020 following a brief role as Clinical Manager in private healthcare. Has completed Masters Degrees in both Sports Therapy (Leeds Beckett University) and Applied Sports Science (St. Marys University, Twickenham). Professional
A member of the Society of Sports Therapists and Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Teaching areas include acute Injury and trauma, soft tissue massage and manipulations, sports injury management of the lower quadrant, therapeutic and clinical electrotherapy, advance sports injury management.
Is the current placement coordinator for sports therapy students engaged in external placements, and programme coordinator for the MSci in Sports Therapy. Set up the University Concussion Incident Management Group as part of the Sports Injury Clinic, which is the central reporting, management and treatment of sports related concussion in the University. Other responsibilities include the organisation and mentoring of sports therapy students in the provision of medical pitch-side first aid and trauma support to the University BUCS programme.

Research
Research interests are currently sports related concussion incidence and management in student athletes. This is an ongoing project as part of the Concussion Incident Management Group reporting system. Co-author of sleep hygiene interventions in female athletes which is awaiting peer review ahead of publication.
