About

Amy Morvell is a Dance Artist based in the South of England and an Associate Artist of The Point 19/20. Amy is the Artistic Director of Morvell Dance produced by Lîla Dance. Through Lîla Dance’s support Amy successfully receive Arts Council funding and create her production Turtle Dove. The work has since been toured to theatre venues across the UK and internationally to Abundance International Dance Festival -Sweden. Since Turtle Dove Amy has gone on to create her outdoor work Nice to Meet You and her dance films The Lockdown Moving Images Series.

Amy’s artistic practice involves gathering biographical content from communities to create true stories of human experience, reflect shared experience and collective creativity.

Alongside dancing in her own work, Amy also dances professionally for companies; Lîla Dance in The Hotel Experience and rehearsal direct their outdoor work My Bit, Ella&co (Ella Fleetwood) in #NoFilter, Wessex Company in PRANA (Laila Delalio & Hannah Martin-Reilly) & Katie Dale Everett Dance’s Empa, CAJ COLLAB as part of Dance Reading Festival, Nikki Watson & Ashley Peevor’s in The Lost Opera.
