Biography

Jordan joined the University of Chichester in September 2010 as a doctoral student, became a Research Officer for Women and Sport in September 2013, and a Senior Lecturer in September 2015. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Authority.

His expertise focus on women and sport: his doctorate critically analysed a social movement for women and sport; he was an expert consultant on two global research projects commissioned by the International Working Group on Women and Sport (IWG) from 2012-2014 and 2016-2018; he has published regarding leadership, participation and inclusion for women in sport; he has been an invited keynote speaker at World Conferences hosted in Europe and Africa; and he is director of studies for two doctoral studentships focusing on the experiences of women leaders in sport.

Jordan is Coordinator and Strategy Group member of the Anita White Foundation (AWF), chair of the local organising committee for the annual Women’s Sport Leadership Academy (WSLA), and founder of the Women and Sport Timeline.

  • SDM603 Sport Development: International Contexts
  • SDM610 Coaching at the Interface of Sport Development

Jordan also contributes to SDM601 Dissertation.
