Course content

The learning focus of the MSc in International Business and Finance is to enable you to acquire a broad, robust and practical knowledge of business administration and finance in a global business context. The essential knowledge and skills required of international business managers are covered in Term 1. This leaves Term 2 to conclude with integrative modules (strategy and research methods) and specialist finance modules. The successful completion of your research project in Term 3 will enable you to gain your MSc in International Business and Finance.

You will develop the knowledge and skills of business and finance, as well as the cultural awareness to enable you to make an impact in an international commercial environment.

After completing the course, you will have a strong grounding in international business and finance and will be well placed to pursue careers in finance relating to international business within a range of organisations or business environments.

Our facilities

From September 2021, this course will be taught on the Bishop Otter campus in Chichester. This is so we can balance teaching space across both campuses and ensure our students have the best experience.

Both campuses have modern lecture theatre spaces along with seminar rooms for smaller group work and discussions. Our Learning Resource Centres are at the heart of our campuses, providing students with PC and Mac access areas, journals, books and online resources. Your subject librarian is available to help you find the right resources, guide you through assessments and order in any materials you might need.

The Support and Information Zone (SIZ) will be able to assist with many aspects of University life including:

  • General IT and library support
  • Booking laptops and computers
  • Queries relating to Academic Registry or Finance
  • Arranging appointments to see a full range of dedicated student support services such as careers, academic skills service, disability and dyslexia, and more

Both our campuses have lots of options for drinks, snacks and meal including Otters Restaurants, Costa Coffee and the SU shop.

Take a look at our campus tour page for videos and a virtual tour of all our facilities.
