University partners with Autism and ADHD healthcare firm for research and placement opportunities

A partnership between the University of Chichester and neurodiversity specialists KT Healthcare will lead to collaborations on joint research, funding opportunities and workplace and career opportunities for students.
KT Healthcare is a family-run business in Chichester, which provides expert autism and ADHD assessments, post‑diagnostic services, and specialist brain injury rehabilitation services.
As part of the partnership, Psychology and Business students at the university will have the opportunity to work on research projects with the firm, with access to work placements and career opportunities.
Dr Moitree Banerjee, Head of School of Law, Business and Psychology at the university, said: “Collaborating with KT Healthcare enables us to bring together academic insight and real-world clinical practice in a way that meaningfully enhances student learning, advances applied research, and delivers tangible benefits to our local community.
“Autism and ADHD are soaring globally, nationally and within our region, placing greater demand on timely, high-quality assessment and support. This partnership enables us to respond proactively to that challenge while developing the next generation of skilled professionals.
“This partnership between two organisations in West Sussex will enable university students to gain hands-on experience in healthcare and the world of business, bridging their academic knowledge with professional practice. And it gives KT Healthcare early engagement with students, creating a pipeline for future talent acquisition, partnership with academic experts and community impact.”
James Kirsop-Taylor, CEO of KT Healthcare, said: “This collaboration will support new research, offer student placements and career development opportunities, and give students valuable hands-on experience in autism, ADHD and therapy services.
“By bringing together academic insight and clinical practice, we aim to strengthen evidence-based approaches, support the development of future professionals, and respond to the growing demand for high-quality neurodiversity therapy services.
“We look forward to working together to create meaningful outcomes for the individuals and families we support.”
Federica Bocciarelli, Careers & Employability Manager at the University, said: “We are always keen to work with employers to co-design opportunities that help students develop the skills, confidence and experience needed for the workplace. These partnerships not only enhance student readiness for their future careers but also enable businesses to engage with emerging talent and address the evolving needs of their organisations and communities.
“As we prepare for the next academic year, we are actively welcoming new placement providers to join our network of employer partners. If your organisation is interested in helping shape career-ready graduates while addressing business and community needs, we’d love to hear from you.”
Partnerships are vital in the University’s work to increase our research impact, create employment opportunities and enhance the experience of our students. If you’re interested in learning more, please contact the Careers team at careers@chi.ac.uk
