About
Helen has had a long, extensive and varied career in oncology and palliative care. This has ranged from oncology research to Macmillan nurse to senior management level in a top London teaching hospital and senior lecturer in cancer nursing at the University of Brighton. Over the last decade and slightly more (!) Helen has focused specially on palliative and end of life care (PEoLC) at St. Wilfrid’s Hospice initially returning to practice as a clinical nurse specialist in the community and independent nurse prescriber before returning to education, leading a well recognised team delivering PEoLC across Sussex and working strategically with NHS Sussex.
In the last year Helen has been appointed as Chair of the Social Care Nursing Advisory Council for South East London ICB which is in initial stages of development.
