David Taylor-Jones PhD, MA Applied Professional Research Methods, MA Counselling Studies, Postgraduate Diploma in Person-Centred Counselling, PGCE/PCE, MBACP (accredited), UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor.

David’s doctoral thesis was on the experiences of counselling students. The focus of this qualitative study was students’ perceptions of their relationships with staff, with peers and with the therapeutic model during training and the work explored any influences these relationships had on the students’ personal and professional development. David previously completed a study of the experiences that adults who stammer had of their counselling. David runs a Person-Centred counselling and supervision practice in Brighton. As well as his private practice David has experience of counselling with addictions and bereavement and of counselling in schools.
