Switching university is easier than you think

We are currently accepting applications to transfer to the University of Chichester this academic year.

There are many reasons you might feel that your first year at university isn't quite matching your expectations -  but that's ok.

Perhaps you're feeling unfilled with your current course, that your future ambitions have changed and the degree programme you're on no longer matches them, or simply that the subject you're studying isn't for you.

Our team are on hand to offer guidance and make the switch as stress-free as possible.

How to make the switch

If you would like to explore transferring to the University of Chichester please follow the steps below to get started:

  • Find your perfect course by browsing our courses or exploring by subject area.
  • Check the entry requirements. These are listed on the individual course pages. Don't quite meet the entry requirements? Don't panic. We'd love to talk to explore your options. See our entry requirements section for more details.
  • Get in touch. Once you know which course you're looking to switch to, please call our friendly Admissions team on (+44) 01243 816002 or email admissions@chi.ac.uk. They will give you guidance on the next steps and answer any questions you may have.
  • Apply via UCAS. Once you have the go-ahead from our admissions team, you should apply to the course through UCAS.

Transferring in year 2 or year 3 is also possible, providing the course you are looking to switch to is similar to the one you are currently studying.

You will need to do this via your UCAS dashboard, putting the University of Chichester as your point of entry.

We recommend getting in touch with our Admissions team to explore your options.

Unfortunately, we do not accept mid-year transfers. Transfers will only be considered at the start of the academic year. This is to minimise the amount of missed course learning.

Entry requirements

To transfer to the University of Chichester, you will need to meet the standard first-year requirements for the course you want to apply for.

You can find these entry requirements on the individual course pages, but if you have any questions please contact our Admissions team.

We appreciate that the actual grades which students achieve are often not the same as their predicted grades. We are interested in potential and have a good track record of recognising that potential and seeing our students go on and succeed in their degree with us.

Contact our Admissions team to explore your options.
