About

Across his professional career, Niall has made many records both as a musician (bass, guitar and live electronics / synths) and as a studio engineer. His first release on vinyl was in 1988.

Niall has toured all over the world with many rock and electronic outfits, the most notable being UK space-rock band Hawkwind. Live highlights in recent years include the Royal Albert Hall (November 2019) and Glastonbury Festival (June 2019).

Since the mid-1990’s he has been heavily involved in many electronic based projects (drum and bass, trance to name a few genres), something he still continues in the present day. Niall feels working in electronic music really sharpened his skills in production areas such as synthesis, sampling and sequencing.

Niall has lectured in audio production, music technology and live performance since 1999 at a range of institutions and has always strived to find a balance between professional music work and lecturing. His part-time position at Chichester University allows him to continue with many musical projects whilst ensuring his skill set and experience is passed on to the up-and-coming generation of creatives.
