Speech, Language and Communication

This module will introduce you to a range of developmental, cognitive, social and emotional influences that affect children’s development in speech, language and communication. You will learn how to evaluate the effectiveness of interventions that contribute to removing barriers to communication and interaction. You will become familiar with the use of Augmented and Alternative Communication (AAC), ICT, sign language and the use pictures/symbols to aid communication.
