Safeguarding and Intergrated Working in the Early Years

This module considers the history and development of safeguarding legislation, policy, and practice for unborn, babies and young children including those who are most vulnerable. You will explore signs and symptoms of abuse, issues of disclosure and confidentiality. The notion of safeguarding children will be placed within the context of children’s rights, and debates surrounding children and concepts of childhood in our society.
